Botshelo is the Founder & CEO of UmkhoAI, driving Africa’s first offline national AI ecosystem. She brings business and government relations experience from the Paris School of Business, American College of Greece & Howard University.

Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Katerina keeps day to day operations running smoothly by supporting project coordination, external outreach and partnership building. She is currently pursuing a major in International Relations and European Affairs, she holds certifications in AI for everyone and First Step Korean.

Chief Technical Officer (CTO )

With over 14 years of AI/ML experience, Armin leads UmkhoAI’s technical division, designing the offline AI architecture and managing all AI development initiatives. He is currently pursuing an AI degree at Macromedia University of Applied Sciences.

Chief Software Engineer (CSE)

Kagiso leads UmkhoAI’s engeneering team, overseeing software development, network security and cloud integration. He is a BSc Information Technology student at Eduvos and a member of the Golden Key Society

Chief Research and Development Officer (CRDO)

Dineo leads research and innovation at UmkhoAI, integrating scientific rigor into AI development. She holds a Higher Certificate in Bioscience from Eduvos and is currently pursuing a BSc in Biomedicine. She is also a member of the G20/Y20 South Africa 2025 Working Group, contributing to youth-driven policy and advocacy initiatives.

Chief Science Officer (CSO)

OB leads the ethical scientific validation and technological integrity of UmkhoAI’s neural psychology. He holds a BSc in Biomedicine from Eduvos and works as an academic tutor and student mentor.

Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

Refilwe drives the company’s marketing and brand strategy while shaping a cohesive and impactful brand identity. She is currently studying for a BA in Marketing Communication at the AAA School of Advertising and has completed the Mayerfeld Practicum Program in Digital Marketing.

Financial Officer

Michael’s responsibilities include reaching out to possible new investors, organizing and managing UmkhoAI's finances in tandem with the CEO, and developing more effective and efficient ways of capital expenditure. He holds a minor in Biology, work experience in business management, and a soon to attain B.Sc. in Psychology.

Software Engineer

Naledi develops and maintains UmkhoAI’s front-end designs, focusing on scalable offline applications. She holds diplomas in IT Software Development from IIE Rosebank College and Software Engineering from WeThinkCode. Naledi specializes in Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL, REST APIs, and database management.

Social Media Coordinator

Tadiwa Tine is an AI Psychologist and Social Media Coordinator at UmkhoAI, leading content creation and strategy. She holds a BA and BA Honours in Community Development and Leadership, and is pursuing a Master’s at the South African College of Applied Psychology. Her expertise spans UGC content, video editing, scriptwriting, and social media campaigns. She also holds certifications in AI Prompt Engineering, digital marketing, branding, and graphic design.

Social Media Coordinator

Martha oversees PR, campaign coordination, and social media for UmkhoAI. She is currently pursuing a Diploma in Marketing Communications at the AAA School of Advertising and has received numerous academic awards.

Data Analyst

Naveenth transforms complex datasets into actionable insights for Umkho’s AI training and monitoring. An MSc Statistics graduate from CUSAT, he has hands-on experience with Python, R, SQL, Power BI, data cleaning, machine learning and business intelligence.

Research Assistant

Minah supports research activities, multilingual AI testing, and language model evaluation. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Bachelor of Health Sciences Honours in Bioethics and Health Law from the University of the Witwatersrand, bringing a strong background in governance, ethics, and research to AI development.
